New Website and Scrapbook Retreat!

After a few months of remodeling, our new website is up and running! We think this website will be easier to navigate to make your shopping experience more enjoyable. We also have added an Idea Gallery, a calendar to check out our events, and message boards for you to join our community. Oh, and don't forget to sign up for our newsletter! We are really excited about these changes and thank our new wonderful web designer Heather Wright. Thanks Heather!

We have also added some new product and will be adding more and more so be sure to check back often for all the new arrivals!

Now on to the most exciting news! We will be hosting an overnight Scrapbook Retreat on May 4th-5th in Sandy, Utah. Please check out the calendar on our website for the details and to register online. We can't wait for this event and hope to see you there!

All - Day "Scrapathon"

We are hosting a "Scrapathon" this Saturday, February 17th, 2007 in the Salt Lake City Area. We will be having contests, hourly drawings, and discounted products. Come bring your scrapbook supplies and plan on "scrappin" all day. It's from 10am to 10pm.

Finally! We are officially open!

Wow! The last couple of months (okay, make that 3!) have gone by way too fast! It has taken longer than we expected to have our store up and running but we made it. We are officially in business.

We appreciate all those that have helped us. We couldn't have done it without each of you.

2 Girls...2 Many scraps... and a Dream

Welcome to Alphascraps and thanks for visiting our blog! We're excited to start this venture. Just a bit of information about us...

"We" consists of 2 best friends... Melissa and Kathleen. We have been friends for several years. It is a little scary of how "alike" we are. We love 80's music. We love Jason Mraz. We love Lost, Grey's Anatomy and most reality TV. We love to talk on the phone. We love to instant message. We talk Valley Girl. Okay, Melissa talks Valley Girl and Kathleen just laughs at her. Our husbands are very similar... But we love them anyway. We love our kids. We have 5 of them between us. 3 girls, 2 boys. They keep us busy - drive us crazy sometimes. But keep us laughing all the time. They are hilarious. They keep us grounded. We are 2 of the luckiest girls in the world.

We love to scrap. We love paper crafting. We love rub-ons, ribbons, flowers, metal, paper... that list could go on and on. We love to create. We love home decor. We love giving gifts. We love to shop. We love a great deal.

Now onto what drives us crazy...

Unfinished layouts. Missing letters. Running out of rub-ons. Buying in bulk when you won't use it all. Did I mention unfinished layouts?

We have wanted to start a business for a long time. So we decided we would start something that could be fun for everyone. And maybe with a little help those things that drive us crazy could be remedied.

And so Alphascraps was born. Our dream has become reality. We have created a fun website where you can expand your creativity... get new ideas... and shop. The best part is, you can see the newest products in the industry, purchase products in smaller quantities that are less expensive while still creating amazing scrapbooks, home decor and heartfelt gifts.

We will be posting tons of ideas here on our blog as well as the gallery on our website. So take a look around. You might just see something that inspires you, read something that makes you laugh, help you complete that layout that has been sitting there waiting to be added to your scrapbook or add a little touch to that empty wall in your home.
